A trial was undertaken to determine if supplementation with Actimel could improve the eradication rate of H. pylori (a bacterium that causes most stomach ulcers and types of chronic stomach inflammation like gastritis) in children with gastritis on triple therapy (omeprazole, amoxicillin and clarithromycin).15
This study demonstrated that supplementation with L. casei Imunitass® yielded a higher eradication rate and confered an enhanced therapeutic benefit on the success of H. pylori eradication in children with gastritis on triple therapy.
